Automate and see more with Power Platform.
Microsoft Power Platform turns manual steps into automated workflows, simple apps and live dashboards. We help you pick the right first projects and govern them safely.
What Power Platform covers
What is Power Platform?
Microsoft Power Platform is a set of low code tools in the Microsoft ecosystem. Power Automate runs workflows between apps, such as sending an approval when a form is submitted or saving email attachments to SharePoint. Power Apps lets you build simple business apps, such as inspection forms or request trackers. Power BI turns data into interactive dashboards.
These tools can remove repetitive work, reduce errors and give managers better visibility, often without custom software development. Many businesses already have some of this capability in their Microsoft 365 licences without using it.
Governance matters. Flows and apps can touch company data, so ownership, connectors, sharing and licensing need rules. We help you start with a few valuable projects, not a sprawl of unmanaged automations.
Power Platform has four main parts. Power Automate builds automated workflows. Power Apps builds simple apps. Power BI builds reports and dashboards. Copilot Studio builds conversational agents. They share connectors that link to hundreds of services, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook and many third party systems.
The power of the platform is speed. A person who understands a process can often build a first version in days, then improve it. The risk is the same as any quickly built tool: without ownership and rules, it becomes fragile and hard to support.
What Power Platform can do.
Cloud flows in Power Automate
Automated, instant and scheduled flows, such as routing an approval or saving attachments.
Approvals
Built in approval workflows with email and Teams notifications and a record of decisions.
Power Apps canvas apps
Custom forms and apps for phones, tablets and the web, built on SharePoint, Excel or other data.
Power BI
Connect to data sources, build visuals and share dashboards that refresh automatically.
Connectors
Standard connectors cover Microsoft services. Premium connectors reach many other systems with additional licensing.
Desktop flows
Automate repetitive tasks on a desktop or legacy application, with additional licensing.
Data policies
Rules that control which connectors can be combined, so company data is not sent to unapproved services.
Copilot Studio
Build chat agents for staff or customers on your approved content.
How Power Platform works.
Find the process
Pick a repeatable task with clear steps, such as approvals or data entry.
Build
Create the flow, app or report with the right connectors and permissions.
Test and govern
Test with real users, set owners and document the solution.
Improve
Measure time saved and extend to the next process.
What happens behind the scenes.
A flow starts with a trigger, such as a new file in SharePoint, a form submission or an email, and then runs actions, such as asking for approval, creating a record and sending a notification. The platform runs flows in Microsoft’s cloud, so they work without a server and continue when staff are away.
Power Apps and Power BI connect to data, either in Microsoft 365 or in other systems, and present it as an app or report. Governance controls such as environments, data policies and sharing rules decide who can build and what they can connect to.
How it benefits your business.
Power Platform returns time to people by removing repetitive tasks: chasing approvals, copying data between systems and compiling reports. Even a few hours saved a week across a team adds up quickly.
It improves accuracy and consistency, because the same steps are followed every time and a record exists of what happened. That helps in regulated industries and when you need to show how a decision was made.
Power BI adds visibility. Leaders see live numbers on sales, jobs, tickets or finances without waiting for manual reports, and can act earlier.
The benefits at a glance.
Save repetitive time
Automate approvals, notifications and data copying.
Fewer errors
Replace manual re-keying with consistent workflows.
Simple custom apps
Forms and trackers without a long software project.
Dashboards that update themselves
Power BI connects to your data and refreshes.
Works with what you have
Connects to SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel and many other services.
Start small and scale
Begin with one process and grow.
Licensing: Limited Power Automate and Power Apps use is included with many plans. Premium features and Power BI are licensed separately. Plans and features change, so we confirm current licensing with you before you buy.
What this looks like day to day.
A business approves purchase requests by email and loses track of them. A short Power Automate flow takes the request from a form, routes it to the right manager in Teams, records the decision in a SharePoint list and notifies the requester. A Power BI report shows spend by department each month.
This is an illustrative example of how the feature is used, not a description of a specific client.
Mistakes we see, and how we avoid them.
Shadow automations
Flows built by individuals disappear when they leave. Assign owners and document them.
Unplanned licensing
Premium connectors and Power BI need extra licences. Check before building.
Building before mapping the process
Automating a messy process makes it faster but not better. Simplify first.
No data policy
Without rules, company data can be sent to unapproved services.

Learn moreIs Power Platform included in Microsoft 365?
Many plans include limited Power Automate and Power Apps use with standard connectors. Premium connectors, higher limits and Power BI usually need separate licences. We confirm what you have.
Do we need a developer?
Not for many simple cases, but good design still matters. We build and govern the first solutions with you.
What is a good first project?
A repeatable approval, such as expense or leave requests, or sending form data into a list or spreadsheet.
Is it secure?
It can be, with data policies, owner accountability and limits on connectors. We set those up.
Can Power BI use our accounting or CRM data?
Often yes, through connectors or exports. We check your sources first.
